Factory tours?

Postby Jakemaster » Tue Feb 20, 2007 1:38 pm

Does anyone know if Boeing, Cessna, or Beech offer factory tours?  Next year I'll be going to the University of Kansas which is about an hour and a half from Wichita, which, as you should know, is home to Cessna, Raytheon, and a few other companies (Boeing has a factory too).  When I go in August we will be going through Wichita, and I was hoping to try and get a factory tour at one of (or all 3) companies.

I think by looking at google that Cessna also does it though I can't find exact information

Dunno exactly of the rest... think it's the same with Cessna

Boeing does for the factory in Washington, but I can't find anything regarding the one in Wichita.  And cessna I saw some mentions of tours on the website but nothing else.  If I'm in Wichita it wouldnt be a huge deal to just go and ask, theres a little aviation museum in between the Boeing factory and the Cessna airport, so I'd be nearby anyways.

Just was looking around...Boeing sold the Wichita factory a few years ago to Canadian company Onex, which then started using the factory for Spirit AeroSystems, who makes parts for the 737 and other aircraft and systems.
