I recently bought this at the "fly market" in OshKosh. it was a pain getting it home... ::)

So, We think it is two yokes form a plane that someone was trying to make a Homebilt cockpit, which is what we intend to do. (EDIT: link to homebilt cockpit thread to come)

So, what im wondering is, what kind of plane did these yokes come from? (the cage isn't authentic ::) )

(I cant see to get the "upload pics" to work so I am using photobucket.)

So, any idea where they come from?

It looks a lot like the yokes out of an old Cessna but attached upside down.

What ever it is, looks like the beginning of a good SimPit.

1960's era cessna 172 or 177 most likely... i have seen those installed right side up AND upside down in airplanes so many times who knows which way they are supposed to go!

I'm not too sure it was intended as a sim controller; it kinda looks like a training device that shows how the yokes are connected to the control surfaces... maybe for maintenance classes?
I mean, it doesn't look like seats would fit in there properly; you'd be crowding the yokes. Or maybe not. Whatever- it's a cool find, and definitely has potential for a simpit! ;D
