it was a Gr.9 from Cottesmore, and was going to Fairford to be a static display (now it is a static display...just not at fairford ;D). Eye witnesses say that it hit a car directly, making it spin three times and crash into the hedgerows, the driver was uninjured and the pilot has been taken to hospital .

At least the most important part worked, and the most valuable part survived... :)

Blimey - Sky News are now interviewing a civvy private pilot eyewitness who as the interview is progressing appears to "know" everything about Harrier operating... (Apparently its quite difficult to glide land in a field according to him!)

Well, that's a relief anyway. I just checked the Martin-Baker website. What a wonderful business to be in.

I supppose it would be. ;)

I notice a motorist was involved. Fortunately doesn't seem to be hurt but I expect his car's a bit of a mess. I would like to see his insurance claims form. :o ;)

Just hope his back's OK. This could ruin his career.

the bristol contingent started with myself and then birdman, both of us from Keynsham. I have since had the common sense to leave, and Birdman seems to have dissapeared, which in Bristol means he's probably never to be heard from again. :-X :D
