No Hurricane this year I hope.  Screwed everything up last year.

Poor people in the south are still recovering.

Skip band for a day. Thats what I did last year, and as long as you're not a freshman your director most likely won't care. I just told him the first day of band camp that I would have to miss one day, and he said sure, just make sure you know the music on Thurs.

It's not just that. Apparently the field show is supposed to be the most intense we've ever done, and I'm not sure if I can miss a day. Ah well, we'll see.

I agree. It seems a very strange time to hold a air show. ???

Some advice. If you are going to go, BRING FOOD! Last year my dad spent $20 for a Philly, 2 large sodas, and 2 slices of pizza, what a ripoff! ]

Flyboy, as long as you demonsrate that you know the music and can pick up on the show quickly, you should be fine. Your first game shouldn't be for another 2.5 to 3.5 weeks anyway. We too are doing our most complex show in the last 15 years. But my director said it wouldn't kill him to miss two people, even though I am, at the moment, they only Sousaphone.

177th Fighter Wing (NJANG) F-16---Meh
108th ARF KC-135E Stratotanker---Seen 'em
514th AMW KC-10A Extender---Seen it
514th AMW C-17A Globemaster III---Seen it
Dover AFB's C-5B Galaxy---Seen it
B-2A Spirit---Seen it
QF-4 Phantom II---Sounds cool, but not worth it.
F-22 Raptor---Meh, I'll see it later

Civilian:
Demos:
Greg Poe (Edge 540)---Seen 'em
Micheal Hunter (Flight for Diabetes Lazer 230)---Another hopped up lawn mower
Sean Tucker (Oracle Challenger and Columbia)---Seen 'em
GEICO Skytypers---Seen 'em

I guess that seals it for me. :) As much as I'd like to meet up with you guys, it's not worth bugging my dad to take time off work and  take me. Plus our marching show is rather intense this year and I can't miss the day rehearsals.

Some other time though. ;)
