These crews have guts... no armor, no guns, and no engine... once they pull the cable release, it's all about getting down and stopped ASAP, without getting shot at or crashing. This guy's just about to pull... note the C47 tow plane ahead.

This film has a number of spectacular "arrivals"... don't know if they're from training or combat, but it's the real deal, all right. Watch this one...

But a healthy ground-loop is not a bad way to just get stopped. They have to stop and unload quickly, or they're sitting ducks for enemey forces.
