Anyone flown one yet?

I've flown a G-1000 172- It has some neat stuff, but I am still stuck in the past with the conventional panels.

Every major aircraft company is switching over to glass, I even saw a cub crafters with a G-1000 in it

digital avionics, "Glass" simply refers to the older CRT/newer LCD display screens :)

Just the one - the moving map on the Jaguar. Closest to modern technology I've been! ;D

Had a look in a nice glass cockpitted PC-9 the other day. Very very nice... :)

My school has a glass 172-I'm an advocate of high-tech cockpits and everything, but I mean honestly ::)

Was kinda cool thought, I may get checked out in it at one point or another.

I thought it was interesting that when I was flying the G-1000 skyhawk one windy afternoon, that when I did power off stalls into the wind, the plane flew backwards momentarily, and the PFD was filled with red "X's"
THe computer was confused :o

i've only flown a steam gauges plane, but i've been in both a Garmin G-1000 and an Avidyne ex500 Flight System. the Avidyne had a better interface, but the G-1000 had more features. except for the fuel gauge, which i thought looked cool on the avidyne.
