Music in the air ruined Middle wallops airshow. They lost something like 20% of their visitor numbers. Then to make things worse it was moved to the evening just to kill it almost completely.

Indeed. This is nothing new & these popular events have been held on a regular basis for many years.

Music in the Air at Middle Wallop is on 29th July. http://www.musicintheair.co.uk/

The next Flying Proms Concert at Old Warden is on 12th August. http://www.shuttleworth.org/shuttleworth/index.htm

If the musicians were wing walking as they played, then it would be a sight worth seeing. ;D

In the usual fashion Old Warden did one, to add something a little different, the Duxford followed suit a year or three later. I think they may have even poached the original OW Flying Prom orchestra too...

Now there seem to be a gazillion of the things... ::)
