I was just wondering if anyone could help me with some information about flight data recorders.
I am thinking of building ym own PC as a little project for myself and wanted to make a case that looks like an FDR.
Could anyone tell me how big they usually are on a jet airline in length, height and width?
Thanks
Mitchel

from my experience, a DFDR is more or less 50cm long, 25cm high, and 20cm wide.
I don't have exact mesurement, but you shouldn't be far...
good luck

try to search the web with "austin-trumbull-radioracking" which is abbreviated to ATR and is the standard format for most of the aviation electronic unit.
DFDR are usually 1/2 ATR.
