Fumes put pilots at risk

Apparently some of the substances in the oil on jet engines are leakign into cabins when they reach high temperatures especially during take off and landing

this can make pilots nauseus and impair their judgement

Well, surely at the first signs the pilot (if in control) should hand control to his colleague, don his oxygen mask, then take control as his colleague does the same. No major drama as long as the signs are not ignored...
