Does anyone here have a job in aviation? I got one as a line service technition, and I've seen some cool stuff.
I met Patty Wagstaff, made friends with some really rich people, met some key players in aviation, and I get a discount on AVgas.

I think there are a number of retired RAF/USAF pilots here and loads of folk seem to be able to fly.

I applied for a job as a lineman, if that counts. And I'm learning to fly, but the money exchange works opposite of "working in aviation".

I worked at a local airport as a lineguy as well. I love meeting the rich helo pilots. (Notice rich, helo pilots.. .they're the only ones' who can afford just to step in the freaking things) It was a fun job. And you can make some great connections to help in the future.
Right now I'm about this |-----------------------| close to getting my commercial license... then I'll actually be able to make some MONEY and be rich by this time next year!! Wohoo!! $10 mil by christmas baby!

Ok... maybe not, but I'm still excited!

I helped work on a hangar with my dad (who's a contractor). I would fly him to the airport with the hangar, and walk around looking at all the cool airplanes while everyone else did the work. Does that count?

Didn't think so....

I'm a line tech for a charter company... One weekend there was a golf tourney here and I saw Greg Norman's plane. Our company also operates a plane for a pro sports team owner. I can't beat Patty Wagstaff, but I've seen some pretty cool things week in and week out...

Oh yeah, my coolest experience "on the job" was going up with the dude who flys the schools Cessna Caravan for the skydivers. Man was that a wild ride! WE dumped out 14 people at 13,000' and we actually beat them to the ground. That was a blast, and the guy let me get some stick time (not loggable of course... but still pretty cool).

Well my airport is pretty flippin cool.
We just got a new base customer who flies a christen eagle, and offered to take me out.
WE HAVE A PIAGGIO
The guy who owns the FBO also owns a lear 24, and a J-3 cub. A J-3 cub that won "Best in Show" at oshkosh 6 times in a row (its freakin clean)
The guy who started Ryan Airlines, flies out regularly, including tonight.
The Guy who runs Lee Aerospace, flies his 441 out of here.
The guy who wrote the programs for the G1000's flies out of here
A guy who owns the malls here in Wichita is a really nice guy, but right now has a serious beef with Raytheon (messed up his brand new Hawker Horizon)
I'll think of more
