ok, here is something i have been thinking about alot since that Air Frace crash in Canada, since thankfully all the crew and passengers made it out alive. what happens to the pilots? do they get to keep there job or what? how does something like this work out after a crash? (if they survive)

I would think that it would depend on the findings of any investigations into the crash.
If the crash was caused by pilot error then they should be punished as necessary.
If it proves to be due to other factors over which the crew had no control then I would think it would be up to the crew to decide wether they wanted to return to flying.

If it is deemed to have not been pilot error (and hence they keep their rank/jobs), the vast majority of pilots return to flying after a crash, even bad ones (bad crashes that is ;))

If the findings conclude that it was pilot error, it is up to the airline to act accordingly.
