Why I love this jet...

Postby Boss_BlueAngels » Mon Apr 04, 2005 7:46 pm

Ok, man, this jet is flippin' awesome! You can see why this jet really does not need thrust vectoring... all it would do is add weight. And, as awesome as the Tomcat is... let me see a Tomcat do HALF of the maneuvers this bird does! In particular, watch the pullup from the 1/2 cuban 8 on takeoff... the nose of the jet is like 45 degrees NOSE UP while it's still descending! (about 43 seconds in) Then watch about 2:15 into the video and see this thing point its nose straight up! Well, just watch the whole video.

This makes me VERY excited for this coming summer, as I'll get to see this beauty in July AND September! Wohoo, I'm going to get to see her fly for FOUR days! Wohoo! I promise to post some pics of that display!

P.S. Here is another one from a different day...

The privilege you Americans haven't had yet is seeing the Eurofighter Typhoon and the F/A-18 Super Hornet in the same show (I doubt you've see the Typhoon at all unless you live at China Lake)...

2 awesome displays... ;D

LOL  ditto.... but, if you think that's the coolest every, why not go for the Navy?  Just a question.

Why not the marines? would be mine. ;)

I don't know whether or not I'm going to be a fighter pilot yet-I've always just kinda ssumed that I was going to fly heavies, but if I do decide to go into the fighter program, I'm gonna go with the marines.
