What exactly is bush flying?

From what I understand from context in discussion it involves flying in "hard to reach" areas like woodlands or mountain regions with scarce populations, few paved airtrips, possibly (hopefully not!) hazardous situations?

Is there any strict definition for Bush Flying? I'm interested, sounds cool!

Basically your summary is correct Chris. The major places for bush flying are Canada and Alaska, go find some small strips, fire up your Cub or Otter and have some fun

Come to my neck of the woods and you'll soon see what bush flying is........we have lots of it around here........Beavers, Otters, and tons of other private light  A/C on floats....
