Yankee Air Park Fire

Postby torquestripe » Sat Oct 09, 2004 11:21 pm

I just heard a news report about the museum burning to the ground.
Anyone local to the area of the Yankee Air Museum know exactly how bad it is?

Pretty bad.  THey were able to save the B-52, C-47 and B-17, and the flying aircraft that were outside their hangar.

All artifacts, offices, etc. and several static aircraft, some restoration projects were lost.

This is depressing news.  :(

THey were able to save the B-52, C-47 and B-17, and the flying aircraft that were outside their hangar.

Glad to hear they salvaged something.
