Postby Havoc » Sat Nov 22, 2003 9:04 am

Also, this might seem like a daft question but, what aircraft would all his security men and vehicles be travelling in? Not being from the USA I don

The thing you see him flying in the states looks like a seaking of sorts.

HE very likely landed at Andrews Air Force Base in MAryland- it is just 11 miles from the white house. It is the 'HQ' for the gov. transports- the 2 identical Air Force One aircraft are based there as are the fleet of 757s used to transport the Sec. of State and the Sec. of Defense and the Vice PResident.

From Andrews, the president is flown one either a blackhawk or a sea-king variation (when I was in DC- I saw both in the air in the US president livery)

good info on the hilo here http://home.rose.net/~dingdong/Aircraft/

The secret service uses a C-17 and a C-141 to transport thier personell as well as the president's helicopter and motorcade.

Clinton had a few C-5's for the cars and stuff when he came to holland.
Anyone living near schiphol remembers that day (most calls about aircraft noise)
