I think you'll find most Services want spot on vision when they take you on... Once you're in, they'll be happy to let you wear glasses, as they would have spent a wee bit of cash on your training (unless you vision really goes...). Most of the instructors I know wear glasses when flying...

My point entirely (two of the pilots I was referring to are former Harrier pilots still serving in the RAF)
