I'm now a Museum participant

Postby Calb » Mon Aug 04, 2003 6:50 pm

When we relocated to Abbotsford, BC (CYXX) at end of April, I joined the Canadian Museum of Flight located at the Langley, BC airport (CYNJ) just a 1/2-hr drive away.

Here's some webpages I made up showing some recent activity - http://members.shaw.ca/cbooth/Museum_001.htm

Believe me, nothing would please me more.

No doubt you are aware of the museum at CAF Comox?  The H-21 (Vertol 44) helicopter came from our museum.  We traded it for the CF-104B we have. Personally I'd sooner have the helicopter -- on the other hand, it probably got a better restoration job than we could have done.

I gotta get over there some time.

i think it's fun to have a ride in a vintage plane...it doesn't always have to be loud and fast jets  ;)
