I just found this while watching a DVD on the Lightning, it's one helluva story.

Cheers Doug I simply can't imagine that he tried three landings and managed to get it down in one piece. Obviously learning to fly in a Tiger Moth prepares you for anything :lol: :lol:

Having learned to fly on a Tiger Moth I can confirm that. 8-)

Mind you, I already had my gliding licence before taking power lessons. The best way to start IMO.
