A380 cockpit

Postby pete » Tue Jun 28, 2016 4:59 pm

Take a look. The biggest jetliner in the world, the Airbus A380. No doubt a leading edge and trend setter in technology and aviation.

Look at the cockpit. It has a keyboard. Joysticks. Screens. Now is IT getting closer to our home systems or are we getting closer to modern aviation? Actually it's both!

I like the cockpit commonality across the Airbus range which probably makes crew training and transition from one model to another less expensive.

Yes, but here is a thought, the biggest plane in the world has less switching gear than its cousin the A320.....

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
