Well I agree with them not having the airshow this year out of respect, but it shouldn't be lost from the calendar, it is a great airshow with a wonderful atmosphere and the kids and I have enjoyed it before and would like to do so again.

I think the actual reason is more to do with the AAIB having not completed their report. Until their recommendations are made and the CAA can implement any mitigations I can't see how (without serious restrictions imposed by the organiser and CAA) they can hold a show at the site without leaving themselves open to comeback should another incident occur.
