Superb job by the crew and the airport fire services! Perfect demonstration of how to handle the situation.

And again it just goes to show what happens to the human brain during a hight stress situation.................The number of people who evaced with hand luggage is incredible..

Maybe, its just me?.... :roll: ...

..but looking at the damage, I wonder what the outcome would have been if that had happened whilst cruising high in the air, or over the Mid Atlantic?

I assume that the outcome would have been very bad indeed, for all involved!

...somewhat scary!

Airflow would have helped.

Glad everyone got out. Not entirely sure about the "heroics" of the crew - apart from the cabin crew perhaps and the dullard passengers they had to deal with.
