An around the world story

This is told by the first woman to fly around the world. Well...... SHE didn't do the flying, but I'll let it go.

She spends a great deal of time pining for her married boyfriend who is on the trip too, but who would like to not cheat on his crazy wife.

She also talks about how she just isn't interested in the politics, of the French/German/Polish/Japanese.

This is in 1929, just before the stock market crash, and Hitler's rise to power.

You know. Those wonderful years of Japanese expansion?

Me? I kept looking at the faces before the camera and thinking "how many survived"?

This is a true story, told thru archival footage, that puts Jules Verne's Around the world in 80 days to shame.

Knowing what we know, today, about the tragedies to come all I can say is WOW!

And no, this isn't about the Hindenburg.

If you can put up with her constant whining about Karl, this is a great story.

Most interesting documentary there. I can't think of 2 more people less suited to an illicit affair tho. What about the photographer on the steel girder in NY? What a guy, even lit one up.
