NEED Electrical spec for Lockheed C5a

Hey folks. Tryng my hand in a different area for me. Getting around the electricals on a few aircraft.
I seem to feel that much of the aircraft are loaded with incorrect specs as space fillers,or to make certain systems down the line work, that wont work with correct (true) values.
What I am wondering is ( and I cant find the data any where on the net...even Lockheed doesnt post it) what is the output voltage of each generator and the amp out put for each generator for the Lockheed C5a?
Better still,if anyone has a legit electrical specs for the cfg file,I'd appreciate that .
I guestimate the volt/amp requirements for starters, and such, but to have the actual figures for the electrical requirements and the figures for the power system would be a great help.
Thanks bunches.

Aircraft voltage has been standardised across the known world for many tens of years. Military or civilian, big birds (not GA) run a voltage or 115V at 400HZ and battery power at 28V. A generator or starter generator will be using these standards. These outputs will be controlled by a GCU, (Generator Control Unit) rigorously to these values. A slight spike or drop and the relevant generator will be dropped like a bag of hot poop. Why standards, well if we did not have them, then every airport of military base would have to have a huge diverse of ground power carts. 115V and 28V power plugs are also the same world wide too. As for the C5A Galaxy, I have absolutely no idea about ANYTHING to do with the systems on that aircraft, however, I can tell you I am 100% positive that this aircraft has 115V, 400HZ and a few 28V batteries. As for amperage, my experience of 30 years of aviation, that runs from around 10 to 12Amps at no significant load up to around 70Amps with a heavy load, but that is just a rough middle of the road figure.

Thanks a million Matt !!! I will go with your information, and I'll use it on the C5a. The reason I needed the data was that I cant find ANY amp gauges supplying up to 600 amps system wide full draw. That was the amps I put into the system I am working on. When all starters are whirring away, all lights are running, all com,all nav,I run around 600 amps ( figuring the watts and such for lights and gear into it,but all was rough, and even uneducated guessing ). So THANKS so much once again. I'll copy this data and get started on it right away. Your data to me will help me refigure my amps, and if all goes well,I should be able to keep the 4 gauges I have added to my panel. Gracias Amigo !!! ( Stephan "Altitude With Attitude". )

No problem, glad to help. However, amps, was only a middle of the road rough indication from my own experience. The C5A, the only sure thing is the volts and hertz.

Thanks again Matt. Anything offered was more than what I had to go on at the time. Even Lockheed web page has nothing on the electrical system. Engine specs are the dominant topic concerning its specs.

Ah...and I see Pete sneakin' around in the shadows there, LOL.
