After having worked for three companies that were bought/merged, I have only one thing to say to the Sikorsky employees - Good luck finding another job.

If I ever hear another company flack welcoming me and my fellow employees the merged company, I think that I'll go postal.

I have worked for a couple of large companies that bought other companies. It was obvious to us that all they wanted was the other companies products and market share.
At the big " welcome to the family" meetings it was always the same. " Welcome new family members, have no fear , it will be business as usual." Of course there will be some minor adjustments along the way to ensure that there are not redundancies or overlaps.
Then after the Govt. regulators and watchdogs were content and the public at large had forgotten about the big "mergers" we dumped the acquired companies employees like hot potatoes. If they had one or two "hotshots" that we could use we kept them on.
It was embarrassing to watch the out and out lying and deception that took place by our management. Thats just the way it was.
