I've seen that site before - it's good isn't it?

Odd to think that the new generation of flight simmers while have no idea who Merrill C Meig, or the airport that bore his name, was...

Heathrow was interesting. Sadly progress is slowly removing all the historic buildings and replacing them with new terminals. Different to other European airports - Munich being a good example - where the airport was completely replaced.

Thanks for sharing that, Jetranger.

I used to live on the property next to Cuddihy Field, Corpus Christi, TX back in the 1970s and 80s.

Jimmy Adair (died in 2013), whom I met, used one of the runways as a drag-strip on the weekends. much to the horror of my grandfather who did church services on Sunday.

The hangar above is where I worked during my last year and a half while attending school. It housed a Cessna 206, a Cessna 210, and a 1969 Beechcraft Queen Air. At one point, someone kept a T-6 Texan there off to the left of the hangar.

To date, all the buildings and hangars have been torn down. The hangar I worked at is still there.
