Postby Jetranger » Fri Jan 09, 2015 3:53 pm

Well,,, don't look at me , I didn't do it , the Airplane is NOT tall Enough and got in my way, whoever Designed the thing is at Fault, they didn't put the right size tires on it to make it stand tall or something .

and and and the Nose sticks out to far, and, its made of really cheap material or something,,,

I wasn't Driving, it was,,,,,,,,,, ummmm,,,,, an Alien from outer Space or something, really !

I'm NOT responsible for totaling a $330 Million dollar plastic Airbus Airliner, not my fault they built it out of plastic and stuff ! :?

Really,,, I'd like to Video the Driver of the Truck - and ask ,,,,,

What were You Thinking ?????? I mean really especially that close to the nose of the jetliner,,,, maybe the side I can see, obviously my hunch is this person doesn't have much actual Truck Driving experience and is NOT aware of their Equipment enough to be operating such a vehicle.

but that's my opinion.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

A wake-up call, to remind ourselves, before each flight we take, that aeroplanes are actually made out of aluminium baking foil... and fall apart when you shout at them.... ...!

..not reinforced cast iron!.... ...!

I've always avoided flying in commercial aircraft.....and I don't think that I will change my mind any time soon!.... ;) ...!

Like Matt said, it can be repaired. The Airbus AOG (Aircraft On Ground) team will have it airworthy again in short order. I assume Airbus has a team like Boeing does.
When I worked at Northwest Airlines we had a B747-400 fly through a hail storm and had a lot more damage than this bird. The Boeing AOG Team came in from Seattle and did an amazing job. They arrived with everything they needed to make the repairs from required tools and jigs/templates and sheet metal panels to the exact size rivets, wiring, brackets, stand-offs, clamps, hydraulic fittings, etc. And they didn't waste any time either. They worked 12 on / 12 off if I remember correctly. They are like the all stars of aircraft repair. Not a job I would want though: they are always on call and rack up a lot of travel time.

An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.
