Is it possible in this day and age that the B-777 has a wiring problem? Possible that the Malaysian B-777 that has gone missing crashed and now the United Airlines B-777 that made an emergency landing at Midway Atol. I think I would prefer to ride/fly in a plane that was designed and built in total at a single facility instead of assembled from parts made all around the world.

I know that's just not the way it's done today. But the last time I was in an airliner was the late 1980's. A Northwest B-747.

How can you try and link two icidents out of thousands and thousands of flights when the cause of one of them is not known?
