Sad and tragic.

However I had to read 2x the title

Eurofighter crashes at Spain's Moron base

The story is sad - but the title is funny

I know that word, and that is one of yours (english)!

Talking spanish, you can choose:
imbécil - bobalicón - cabrón - ciruelo - desgraciado - gilipollas - paquete - tarado

Moron is still the spanish name of the base where the plane crashed, and a pilot were killed!!

Just a perspective, but 3500 people died today in car crashes around the world. No public outcry or sentiment, but when an aircraft crashes it is major news.........?

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Proper name: Base Aérea de Morón de la Frontera. Morón not Moron

Base of the 11 fighter wing, takes the emblem of Commander Joaquín García Morato, top spanish air ace with 40 aircraft shot down.

Also other spanish and USAF units in Morón AB

You are quite right, Matt, but the amount of aircrafts will never beat cars! And many of those car crashes involves morons.

Thanks papi for clearing out the Moron mistake! So good to have inside knowledge from all over the world on this site.
