Such a shame. Interesting to see what the cause is. Low level aerobatics gone wrong by the sound of "eyewitness" reports, but as ever, impossible to tell. Interestingly, as an aside, if doing aerobatics in a powered RAF aircraft without an ejection seat, the minimum height to do them is 3000' AGL (double the minimum suggested abandonment height of the aircraft) - unless you spend 6 months training as the display pilot...

Also, whist I suspect that this is also the reason, aviation eye witnesses are notoriously bad eye witnesses............

Indeed, but knowing the location, and the fact there appears to have been an "opportunist" pax in the back, one can't help think it may well be the case...
