"The situation could have been much worse. A five-member New York City Department of Transportation crew repairing potholes on the road noticed the plane in distress and blocked traffic in the left lane, allowing the aircraft to land without hitting any cars. The other two lanes were already closed for repairs."
All in all, a lot better ending than it might have been.
