You don't want to hear the stuff from inside RARA...a lot of drama going on...
A sign of how things are: the Unlimited Class did NOT fly this past year. Instead, they jury-rigged a 'Warbird' class. Still, only 14 Unlimiteds were present to do only 5 races.
On top of the fiscal and staffing issues, the race course saw a tightening increasing the sustained G all the way around the course and instituted a hard ceiling....so the Unlimited and Jet guys race inside a high G 'doughnut' which is not a safe way to race....
