Well now that's interesting. Raises a lot if eyebrows of some inquiring people. Hopefully, they're not overly harsh on the flight crew during the investigation.
British Airways pilots: known for having a subtle sense of grandeur, and all one needs to verify why is examine the records. Exemplary. Each file folder for each pilot has an irrefutable shine on it. One that surely won't be smudged by the likes of this minor incident, oh no! Who puts office buildings right next to a taxiway, anyway? A culture once self-indulged as some sort if "master-race"? Well, then. Isn't that whole "better than you" status a little bit silly? It should be reserved for people who have genuinely earned it, such as British Airways 747-400 pilots. Minus one silly office building incident that should never have happened by design, not regulation.
So, I need to stir the pot., but should surely open a mature discussion among the average conspiracy theorist's circle.
This airplane wing was strong enough to plow into a brick building at taxi speed. I think that the "airplanes are made of aluminum, and therefore couldn't have demolished the twin towers" arguement is hereby deemed null and void.
Tough one guys. Still a ton of respect, however. Funny how news does not care that you made it successfully in and out of hundreds of airports yearly, oh no. But the one time that something dumb happens, it's all over the world.
