I saw this on FB. I originally viewed it with cynicism, another corp with another expedient PR stunt in order to appear caring whilst quietly not giving a sh*t about anyone or anything other than profit. I checked WestJet out a little further and was surprised to find that they do appear to be reasonably good folk who do care about their employees, customers etc......OK they want to make a profit but they appear to want to do it ethically. They put more effort in than the law requires, quite refreshing.

Westjet Santa is blue because where they fly down south in ole Mexico, there's a fake guy in a Red suit flies around the Mexican sky with 12 black donkeys singing this song:
(to the tune of Rolf Harris' "6 white boomers.")
12 black burros, Jet black burros
Flying hombre rojo through the blazing sun
12 black burros jet black burros
.. On his Mexican run
Of course on Xmas morning all the Mexican kids can be seen shovelling Burro Caca for their rhubarb patch.
Seriously though Westjet are a great company. Based in Calgary, AB and using only B737's to limit the spares inventory, all their employees are owners too. Recently, I took a trip south and as I always try to be the last one off the plane, I was surprised to see dozens of passengers rise from their seats, don latex gloves and proceed to clean up the space around them. They were all Westjet employees taking a freebee in return for minor duties on the 'plane. Should try them out.
