Being smart, logical, and quite possibly right about the story, expat, means nothing to a lawyer.
The one jury screening that I had to set through was an interesting experience. The lawyers on both sides rejected the smarter people from the jury pool.
Unfortunately, I was rejected for technical reasons, not smarts.
I think that they want jurors who could be persuaded that
IF something like that could happen,
THEN the claimant
COULD have suffered
GREAT TRAMMA.

AND therefore deserves
BIG BUCKS with which to pay their lawyer.
