Good for you Adam...well done.... <<s

The DeHavilland Tiger Moth, Chipmunk, Great Lakes Bi-plane and the North American Harvard were my favorites to fly aerobatics in.

However flying the DeHavilland of Canada DHC-3 "Otter" and putting her through STOL Maneuvers to get into spots only a helicopter or VTOL Aircraft could land in was almost like aerobatics... <<u

Just a quick note: the DeHavilland DHC-3 "Otter" and the North American Harvard both used the same type of engine originally being the P&W R1340. Many of us thought both aircraft were underpowered and both have seen several different more powerful engines installed including a turbine engine on the Otter.

Many of us feel that three hours minimum of aerobatics for the Private Pilots License should be included in the curriculum.

Keep up the good work...

P.S. I do some simulated aerobatic flying on the FSX Flight Simulator Game and it does get quite real when the old girl gives me a smack when I did not finish my To-Do List....

Thank you very much Doug!!

I cannot wait to get up in our new Great Lakes...just 1 more week until she is unveiled :D

Then hopefully I can do more aerobatics!

Yes, aerobatics are a MUST for any pilot.

I did all of my single engine training in a Zlin 242L. Even though I didn't get to spend hours doing aerobatics, I did get to do some after I had finished my single-engine IFR. I'd love to get my Aerobatic Instructor Rating one day. I definitely think learning to fly an overly sensitive aircraft like an aerobatic one is a must for any pilot trying to refine their skills.

Hi Adam

Any new pictures of the Great Lakes or the flight you just took?

We would love to see them... <<q
