I saw this episode as well, very sad news.
A pilot's pilot!

So sorry to hear about Arnies death. Like most I only knew him from the "Ice Pilots" series, but he is a great lose to aviation and the world in general. My thoughts go out to his family.
May he fly on other wings.

As you all know, I don't normally do online sympathy, however I will make the exception for Arnie Schreder. Since the first episode of that show, it was "plane" to see his passion for flying and ability to to pass on his knowledge in a manner where even when he put a pilot down, it was a learning experience and not a set back for said pilot. Ice Pilots is a great show, but the management and treatment of the younger pilots, that being treat them like shit and see if they stay and then if they do, treat them like the long estranged child who wants to rejoin the family fold, now that Arnie has passed on, I think that the turn over of young pilots in that company, well,

I don't normaly comment on this sort of stuff cause of loosing so many myself.

Arnie Schreder was the type of person anyone would love as a friend. I've worked
with a few people in my life that were made from the same mold as him, people
I will never forget and miss very much.

I remember watching that show and the parts I enjoyed the most were with him
in them. Arnie was excellent for training pilots cause the way he was, the trainie
isn't a nerves reck and can then listen and learn much better.
