Yip - my $10,000 dollar 1 way Flight ! 

Whats really, Really Odd, is that I never got to even get on the Aircraft and Fly in it either for that price !

For I was on the Recieving end , instead of the deaprting end ,,,
 
My Father is dying of Leiukema, and I had to have him Airlifted from Springfield / Branson to Kansas City, to be put in a Nursing home, for ground transport would of been Risky, and longer , where as by Air Ambulance it was a 25 minute flight .

Ol' pops was a Private Pilot for 53 years without an incident - he owned a 1965 Cessna 172 for a long time, till he recently sold it.

I hope that at the very least this means your Dad is closer to you for visiting. I'm sad in that my 86 year old Dad is over 3400 miles away from me......Go visit your Pa!

Yip , I see the ol' Pilot pops everyday now that he's 15 minutes from me,, instead of 4 hours !  now - I'm going thru the paper work Fiasco, with Medicare and his insurance,, which he has fabulous insurance,, no doubt,, he was in the pipe fitters union for 33 years. 

he's slowly improving with therapy & rehab, I got him a room all to himself.

we put photos of his Cessna and other flight stuff all around his room, and I stuck Jet Fuel Air Freshners on a shelf in his room to livin it up a bit !! 

I have a DVD playin on his TV in his room,, of flight simulator aircraft flyin around,, he thinks their real aircraft       

Still gotta lotta work to do, on his improvement,, in time,, if it happens .

That Flight I put my Dad on' back on Jan. 9th 2013 ,,,



Did NOT cost $10,000 US Dollars,, NOT at all,,,,,



that "1-Way 30 Minute Flight" - and thats "WITHOUT" him being on Life Support,,,



he just got some Oxygen,,, and they monitored his heart rate,,,, about it !



Try this on for Size : $123,275.00 thats the actual Flight Bill ~ !!!!



NOT 1 word was ever mentioned to me about this beforehand at the time of booking that Flight or anything else !



I was led to believe by their staff at that moment, that - $10,000 was the total cost for that 30 minute flight 1 way on an Air Ambulance .



As far as I know it was over and done with, I paid for everything up front before he was ever put on that Flight.



Now their calling my Payment for that Flight - a "RETAINER",, towards the total cost of that 123,000 dollar flight,,, A RETAINER they call it now,,,,, !!



More like "I say old chap thats a trifle strange" ??



Tellin ya,, IF I'd known upfront, before hand that it was gonna cost this much to transport him up here,,,, I'd went and Wheel-borrowed if need be, him up here in a wheel barrow



I even remember asking them,, at the time of Payment , does this cover everything,,, total payment,,,, and I was informed yes,,,



Why would I think anything different ??



Well I certainly know now,,, Different - to the tune of $123,275.00 Different !



Uggghhhhhhh , I just lost my Dad to Leiukema in January 2013,,, and now I've got to deal with these frickin Schiesters & Con Artists comin out of the wood work,,,
