How do you mistake a runway that's almost 4,000 feet when looking for an 11,000 foot long runway??  ;D :o

I mean by the time he should have noticed it was WAY to small he could of went around. Weird.

I think they discovered the 'Max +1' setting on the autobrake. The plane was something like 20 times too heavy for the rating on that airfield I think.

That'll be fun to explain!

I doubt a C-17 would have too much difficulty with the runway length even when heavy...

It might sink though through the tarmac!

Aside from the obvious mistake made by the crew you have to give them props for a great landing and takeoff. :)

I doubt they were anywhere near the aeroplane when it took off again*. :)

*in fact the link says the take off was a new crew.
