My pleasure, Doug....

I signed-up for the e-Mail version of "Flying Magazine" some time ago, which I receive at regular intervals, together with news-flashes!

It is full of interesting news, and always makes a good read.

An excellent Magazine!

Paul.... :)...!

Good morning Paul... :)

We had about twenty years of every edition of some of these:
-Flying
-Air Classic
-Air Progress
-Air International
-Flying Review
-Private Pilot

It would seem I am missing a few and can't remember their names... ;D

I would buy them when in Toronto monthly and bring them home with me....most were only read several times and we had quite an impressive collection.

What we noticed was the same writer would publish in two or three magazines each month, almost word for word.

We decided to stop purchasing them and I split the collection between several Flying Clubs.

It did put us ahead a hundred dollars or more per month after we stopped buying them... ;D

I found Private Pilot and Flying were printed on a glossy paper with black ink and when one was reading them while holding the magazine the ink would smudge which if one was a collector would drive down the price.

I wrote them several times with no reply... :o

Doug....

When I first got interested in Flight Simulation with the advent of "Flight Unlimited II" and "Pro Pilot '99", > FS '98, etc, I used to purchase all the Aircraft magazines every month and store them in my upstairs bedroom!
Last year I became increasingly worried about the enormous weight on the bedroom floor, possibly bringing down the ceiling of my living room downstairs.
I hired my Nephew and his motor car, to transport them, trip after trip, after trip, to the local wast paper emporium to dump them all!
Ever since then, I no longer purchase them, and just read them on their various Web Sites, (some are free to read).

My Living Room ceiling is delighted..!

As an aside, for my California interest....
I regularly get my San Francisco news for free via "Kron4" News, but the "LA Times" now insists that I must pay to read their Web Version every time I open, it via a pay-for subscription, or its a definite no-no!

"The Washington Post", like my "BBC News" comes free, via the Web...but the "LA Times" is no longer free to read, so I now cease to get my daily news from Southern California...which is annoying!

Paul....I like Free Stuff... ;)... ;D...!
