Accidents happen. Would you rather have a pilot that accidentally shoots his leg or a hijacker kill the unarmed pilots and kill some hundred people?
IMO mind you.
If I thought that arming pilots or carrying armed marshals in the passenger cabin would make the slightest difference in that situation then the answer is obvious. Unfortunately I don't.
