I was the last guy to "spanner" on two fighters (separate incidents) that ended up as smoking wholes in the ground (one fatal, pilot error and one not, lost avoiding a midair). To say that they are beating themselves up is a minor understatement. Sh#iting house bricks is more like it. Not only that, but not that many people want to talk to you either, just in case your un-luck rubs off.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Oh dear...Was watching a documentary on this majestic aircraft...Hope it'll fly again!  :-/
