Official confirmation ...... It was Colin McRae apparently it couldn't be confirmed yesterday as the bodies of the dead were too burned to identify.

RIP a huge loss to motorsport .

Novice it was only his son, another boy and a family friend onboard. His wife and daughter are safe at his Lanarkshire home. It must be doubly hard for them losing a father/husband and son/brother :'(

Just want to point out guys a R44 crashed a week before killing 4 onboard another sad day for aviation, I spoke to the guy who owned half of the machine, it was his friend and another awfull day for aviation.
Just wanted to say sorry for his loss, and all the familys involved, in any aviation fatality for that matter not just celeb drivers, but yes especially sad that Macrae's 5 year old con and his 6 year old friend lost there lives in there crash along with the 6 year olds father, its just so so wrong when kids go in such tradgic ways.

RIP to all pilots, familys and friends involved in any aviation tradgedy who share the love of aviation we all do.
