A (very, very) surprising view

Postby multiprops » Wed May 09, 2012 7:38 pm

The other day I was going trough the collection of old photos of a local museum (you guessed: those in the seller that nobody looks at since ages) and I found an excelent picture of the airplane I was looking for: the Lodestar L-18 of the portuguese company "Aero-Portuguesa" who was the only airplane to fly to Tangiers and Casablanca during the war (this airplane it's kind a fixation of mine) and the only "escape" possible to hundreds of refugees in Casablanca... BUT exactly beyond her, parked very neatly with the engines covered with tarps, a very nice DC3... WITH A HUGE SWASTIKA in the rudder! Talk about strange bed (parking) fellows! And in top of all... A DC-3!!! Life is full of surprises... :)
