I had a similar situation last week. Out with my RC Heli. My youngest is mad about anything that flies. So there I am doing my thing, when he runs forward at I hover. As that put me off somewhat, the helicopter started to track in his direction. So I am left with the choice, helicopter hits small boy and survives

The down side being the visit to the hospital and taking my child home with multiple lacerations

(and explaining how he got them to his mother :-/) or dumping the helicopter into the ground and having a child in one bit with no surface imperfections.......................I am waiting for a spare part delivery as I type

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
