Chewing the fat

Postby expat » Sun Oct 09, 2011 2:30 pm

So after the razzmatazz of the first 787 delivery, it would appear that it is so over weight that it is flying around with only a half load, not to mention the excessive fuel usage. This resulting in a range shortfall of 10-15%, putting the 787's range at 12,800km (6,900nm), well below the advertised ranges of 14,200-15,200km.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

ANA is carrying 264 passengers.

How does the weight of 787-8 compare against A330-200?

264 is the planned domestic seating number. A the moment it is flying with 156 (two seats below the planned long haul seating plan)

And

One is 11 tons over weight and using too much fuel and one is not ;D
