I remember when I was doing my Multi-Rating, I was taxiing down this hill from the hangar to the runway, when all of a sudden I noticed at the bottom of this hill, and a taxiway intersection, there was this turtle moseying across my taxiway. So I hit the brakes, looked at my instructor and simply said "What the hell are we supposed to do about that?" But he was too busy laughing to even respond. So I told tower that we were holding short for turtle traffic, and watched as this thing when 3/4 of the way across the taxiway, before turning around and going back. Probably one of the most humourous things I've seen in a long time.

Maybe to overcome this difficulty the local planning authority should only allow Korean restaurants near airports ;D
I just can't imagine dealing with a slow moving shelled creature at my local airfield ;D ;D ;D Not unless it was a VW Beetle not firing on all cylinders ;D ;D ;D

Didn't know there was a wildlife refuge beside JFK... seems like a smart place to have one...  :P

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
