Thanks for the links! Great pictures but painful to see those mighty planes as hopes of crashed metal XD The als amazing to see the difference between now and then Iwo Jima!

Great pics!
One thing that comes to mind is the conditions of WWII, the carnge they had to endure, and the mutitude of wrecked aircraft.
Nowadays, everyone is upset if we loose one aircraft, etc in a war zone.
