Need help fixing 8 day clock

Postby Tai-2 » Sat Nov 27, 2010 10:20 pm

Topic says it.
It is a Beechcraft 8 day clock made by Independent instruments in Melbourne Australia
It has tension on the springs, but for some reason it does not want to move the hands, second, minute, or hour hand

I can set the time on the clock, it just doesn't advance.

IS there any concern with opening the clock up and revealing the insides?
For example springs shooting out?
