F100 Belly landing

Postby expat » Mon Sep 14, 2009 11:50 am

The first link is German, but the picture is a good one. Runway slide

The second is a report in English

Probably means I will have a long night tonight due to the delays caused by the closure that always seem to have a long knock on effect :(

Edit....UK news now too Daily Mail

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Oh, when you said F100, I thought you meant the F-100 Super Saber.

A F100 Fokker... Looks like a MD80 or B717...

Good landing, maybe they are former LUFTWAFFE pilots!

Not all that long since the F-100 was operated in Germany - BAE Systems operated them as (manned) target/drone aircraft IIRC. :)

Contact do not have an MD80's or B717's. Just ATR 42/72 and seven six F100's
