What are these aircraft?

Postby Travis » Sun Jun 14, 2009 6:01 pm

I got this video from someone asking a question in the Aircraft Wanted section.  A list of the aircraft is in the info section of the video.  Who thought up these dern things?  A couple of them look like something out of Star Wars . . .

I only watched a few seconds as the music was driving me berserk. ::)

From what I can see they are all genuine aircraft, mostly unsuccessful prototypes. I could probably name most of them given time.

Edit. I see he provided a list.

Yeah, I just muted the crap.

One of the most interesting, I thought, was the Bumble Bee, third from the end of the video.  It's wings are stubby enough for me to actually believe it couldn't fly!

Which one?  I'm betting the twin Piper Tripacer is fake.  The props look too close together to work.

A faux or two, interspersed with some rather novelty lookin' prototypes.

I liked the B-29 airliner at the end.  Passengers could disembrk via a 'chute and the bomb bay. :D

It's a 2-seater... only two of them were built.
